ONE MAN’S DREAM – THE UNIQUE WORLD OF LILLIPUT CARAVANS
Our Lilliput history book “One Man’s World – The Unique World of Lilliput Caravans” was launched very successfully at Taupo Museum on 2nd February 2018 at a gathering of some 90 Club members and supporters, and by the end of the weekend over 100 copies had already been sold.
The author managed to locate some 240 Lilliputs both here and in Australia, and after three years of research has created a hardcover, full colour production containing not only the entire history of the marque dating back to the early 1960’s, but also individual stories on each van which, where possible, are fully illustrated.
The book also contains a useful collection of copies of old documents, engineering hints, many tales of expeditions past, and the entire history of the Lilliput Caravan Club of New Zealand, culminating in the Club’s 30th Anniversary celebrations over Waitangi weekend, 2018.
The contents are also augmented by lists of past ownership history and also of those who have become part of the ‘Lilliput Family’ over the past 55 years.
This has resulted in a quality, full colour, 445 page hardcover book which has been much admired by everyone who has bought a copy.
